By Stacy Grecian, Sr. Business Consultant & Shawn Plaster, CEO Congratulations, you finally have an approved budget and a statement of work to bring in an experienced consultant. In fact, you have been lobbying for months that your team needs someone who has the skill set and lengthy track record of success to solve one of the more complex problems on your roadmap. The interview process was lengthy and intense but even the naysayers agree the consultant you selected has the background and personality to make the project a success. All you have to do is onboard her as quickly as possible, introduce her to the team and let her “work her magic.”
Plaster Group had another great time sponsoring and attending this year’s Rise Up for Homeless Youth Luncheon hosted by ROOTS Young Adult Shelter at the University of Washington. This event featured very powerful speakers, including Mark Wright of KING 5 News, Kristine Cunningham – ROOTS Executive Director, Kate Becker – Director of the office of Film + Music, Ed Murray – mayor of Seattle, and Tiffany – a strong guest ambassador of the shelter. Every year, it’s exciting to see the changes and progress ROOTs makes to expand their impact in the Seattle community. Please visit the ROOTS website to find out more about how you can volunteer or contribute in other ways.
