Based in Seattle, Plaster Group’s Business Analysts work with stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate these into business, functional, and technical requirements. They possess the ability to deeply understand and communicate needs to both business-minded and technically-minded participants. In order to elicit these business requirements, Business Analysts plan, facilitate, and conduct analysis sessions. They then create superb documentation capturing the business and system requirements, which is used to create functional specifications. Business Analysts assist Configurators and Developers with the creation of functional specifications and provide clarification as they create technical specifications. They design functional solutions to deliver the requirements, and resolve issues and questions during the development, testing, and roll-out of the solution.
During this process, Business Analysts work with stakeholders to assess and enable the successful delivery of solutions. They act as a thought-partner, ensuring context is clearly established and agreed upon. They may rely on visuals to convey these ideas and context. Oftentimes, Business Analysts assist with Quality Assurance resources to develop test cases and and assist with change management and business readiness resources to help develop training material and a communication plan. They must communicate status, risks, issues, and key decisions made to end-users and project management.
